The 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Muscular Dystrophy Foundation Nepal was successfully held on June 7, 2026 (2083/02/24 B.S.) at the assembly hall of Marwadi Sewa Samiti, New Road, Kathmandu.
The General Meeting unanimously elected a new Executive Committee for the upcoming term. The elected office bearers and members are as follows:
- President: Prof. Rohit Kumar Pokharel
- Immediate Past President: Prof. J P Agrawal
- Vice Presidents:
- Mr. Anil Kumar Upadhyay (Parents group)
- Mr. Pawan Kumar Agrawal (Social group)
- General Secretary: Mr. Rebati Dhakal
- Secretary: Ms. Karuna Pokharel
- Secretary: Mr. Pramod Kumar Agrawal
- Members: Mr. Bhawani Shanker Minda, Ms. Prabha K.C., Sr. Physiotherapist Mr. Bidhyanand Chaudhari, Ms. Anila Thapa, among others.
The remaining Executive Committee members will be selected and nominated at a subsequent meeting of the newly elected Executive Committee.
The General Meeting reviewed and approved the organization’s annual progress report, financial report, and proposed programs for the coming year. The meeting also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the Foundation’s role in promoting the rights, healthcare, rehabilitation, education, and social inclusion of individuals living with muscular dystrophy.
The Foundation extends its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all newly elected office bearers and committee members for a successful tenure. Sincere appreciation is also expressed to all members, well-wishers, partner organizations, and distinguished guests whose support and participation contributed to the success of the Annual General Meeting.
